Hopper discharge units
The hopper discharge unit is used below hoppers, silos, bunkers or bulk containers for flowable bulk materials and serves as a combined closure, discharge, transportation and metering device. It is used where high material flows are required. Short hopper discharge units are mounted directly below the bulk hopper. Depending on the bulk material, the discharge unit can be fitted with appropriate protective liner and sealing systems.

Backersafe Immersion Heater
Backersafe Immersion Heaters are manufactured in a range of Sheath Material, Titanium, Incoloy and Copper.
Backersafe Immersion Heaters are manufactured to the latest Legislation of BSEN60335-2-73. Two specific clauses within this specification are aimed at eliminating the risk of boiling water. The most significant requirement is that the Immersion Heater be isolated from the mains supply, should the primary thermostat fail with the contacts closed, which would allow the water to reach a temperature in excess of 85°C.
THE SOLUTION
Backer manufacture two alternative types of Immersion Heaters to meet the requirement of the standard EN 60335-2-73.
Type one is using a non re-settable BT range of rod thermostat, which in addition has a secondary single re-settable button thermostat in series with the main rod thermostat.
Type two is using a single BMST range of rod thermostats which incorporates a secondary temperature sensing device and a second set of contacts all contained within the one thermostat.
The “BACKERSAFE” IMMERSION HEATERS ARE MANUFACTURED IN A FULL RANGE OF SHEATH MATERIALS INCLUDING COPPER, INCOLOY 800, INCOLOY 825 AND TITANIUM TO SUIT THE VARYING WATER CONDITIONS AROUND THE COUNTRY.
