核磁共振成像MRI造影劑可以分為縱向弛豫造影劑 (T1制劑)和橫向弛豫造影劑（T2制劑）。T1制劑是通過水分子中的氫核和順磁性金屬離子直接作用來縮短T1，從而增強(qiáng)信號，圖像較亮；T2制劑是通過對外部局部磁性環(huán)境的不均勻性進(jìn)行干擾，使鄰近氫質(zhì)子在弛豫中很快產(chǎn)生相(diphase)來縮短T2，從而減弱信號，圖像較暗。

弛豫效率是MRI造影劑關(guān)鍵指標(biāo)之一。弛豫效率高的樣品，可以使用zui少的量達(dá)到的效果；在造影劑研究領(lǐng)域，紐邁專門開發(fā)了小型的核磁共振成像分析儀，可測試方便的測試造影劑T1、T2弛豫時(shí)間，并可對試管樣品進(jìn)行成像，提供定量和定性評價(jià)數(shù)據(jù)，為造影劑產(chǎn)品的研發(fā)與改進(jìn)提供快速可靠的檢測手段。
